Hesthave Manor at Spøttrup dates back to approximately 1750 when the manor belonged to one of the largest country homes of the area. Hesthave is part of Spøttrupborg and was used for breeding horses, hence the name "Hesthauge". Hesthave has subsequently undergone a gentle renovation with consideration to the history of the place and endeavouring to maintain the charm and distinctiveness of each room. The 850 m2 area has been gently renovated and today meet the expectations had of a functional residence. Hesthave Manor is situated in a beautiful park with two small lakes and the stay can be made an eventful experience in the 41,000 m2 of beautiful surroundings.
Staying at Hesthave allows for a holiday experience in beautiful surroundings both inside and outside. The fortification of Spøttrup Castle, the moor Hjerl Hede, Jesperhus Holiday Park and the island of Fur are also worth a visit - all within a distance of 40 km.
Hesthave can accommodate 30 persons, and has a swimming pool (10 m. long, 4 m. wide and 1.5 m. deep), and there is underfloor heating in the pool area, which also contains a sauna and a large whirlpool for 6 persons. Besides the pool area there are a lot of different leisure activities such as billiard, table tennis and outdoor chess (there is a DKK 500 deposit for using the billiard table, which is settled directly to the house owner) – so activities for all ages.
The kitchen has all necessary equipment; 3 refrigerators, 1 freezer, 2 convection ovens and 8 ceramic hobs together with a great selection of crockery.
Hesthave has 10 bathrooms with a shower and underfloor heating and 2 separate toilets. There is a total of 12 bedrooms – 12 double beds and 6 bunkbeds. Additionally, there is an annex with 5 bedrooms with a total of 10 extra beds, which can be rented for a few nights, a party room and a sports hall. PLEASE NOTE THAT GUESTS UNDER 16 ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE MAIN BUILDING. The party room can have 80-100 persons and has to be rented separately. Please contact us for further information.
